2017 SPRINTERS Arriving at SMB

Just got a note from Austin that our van is in production as a 2017 model. They will have a better ETA when it reaches the reassembly facility. They also said they are starting to receive their 2017 orders.

This is the news I think we all need to hear, the Line is Moving again; even if it takes a long time to get these rigs in our possession, they're starting to move and the up fitters are expecting more to arrive.

hi all - we've got a 2017 4x4 rb low-roof w/ penthouse in production at smb fresno now. according to email this week, the build is coming along nicely -- expect it to be done early august.

i am in pacific nw so also can't get to fresno -- would love pics if anyone is there in the coming weeks. when we pick up our van, i'm happy to take pics for anyone still in build at that time.

I'll be there next week picking up my 2016 1/2 Sprinter (see previous post for more info). You can PM me and we can exchange info. I'll get some pics for ya when I'm there.

Awesome news. Curious, like ccw, as to when you placed that order... Last August, maybe September?

It actually all worked out for the best since I got the '17 options with the '16 price.

Quick update on an old thread: we just got the word on Thursday that the Sprinters have arrived! Assuming a 12-week build cycle, it's pretty much right on schedule.

We originally sent in our deposit in late July 2016, so this has been a long process. I'm not so naive as to assume the build we be done exactly on time, but that's peanuts compared to our worries about import and Diesel-gate problems.
