Good News! Keep us informed as the build begins and progresses. Of course, I'd be remiss on this site if I didn't make the ubiquitous demand of: PICTURES!

I'm sure that granny and I will be hearing about our rig arriving sometime by the end of this calendar year; we deposited and had ordered processed around the end of February '17, and assume, with little solid attachment, that we'll be getting a new van by next summer.

Oh, the next worry will be when the car/truck/van industry says '**** it' and switches everything to electric! That'll be a great day for the environment and a sad day for all our transportation that's ' ... from the age of the dinosaur, cuz where running on gasoline...' (credit the Talking Heads)...

Our 2017 2500 Sprinter 144 4X4 High Top arrived about a week ago at SMB Fresno, set to begin production in September.

Our 4x4 low top 144 is in reassembly in South Carolina and scheduled to be in Austin before September. We ordered it in October 2016.

We asked about our 2500 144 4x4 low top and its at SMB West! We scheduled a meeting to go over our final build sheet.

What's the updates for these builds? BackCountry, I see your threads and commentary here and there; anyone else have any meat to toss out?
I see a few nightmares about insurance and funding; hope everyone is holding fast and still fired up.
Our current Evolution is the final trip in the e350 penthouse, 4x4 to the Western Sierras [(Shut Eye Ridge Complex climbing trip number 4!)( we'll drive right by SMBwest between September 20th and the 26th)] then prepping her to put on the market...

Last email from Austin was last week and they still do not have a delivery date from MBZ. We're just hurryin' up and waiting...

EmMay, I'll be in Fresno on 25-26 May for our final build details, work to start shortly after. Looking forward to it. This forum has taught me so much over the past 90 days. The information has really defined what we'd like in our van.
