Bio Diesel Fuel

Having problems finding non-bio diesel fuel - in the mid-west. Any suggestions?

Are you looking for 0% or the more common “up to” 5%?

Here is an interesting website that searches for stations selling B20 biodiesel. Minnesota is the worst state - now mandating 20% biodiesel at least in the warmer months. I try to never buy diesel in Minnesota. I also try to avoid Iowa and Indiana from my past reading but who knows.

The rest is a crapshoot. My local Freightliner dealer in Wisconsin tested the nearest gas station that was supposed to be selling B5 diesel max and it was considerably higher than 5%. Some of the stations sell premium diesel which is often labeled as not being biodiesel but I wouldn’t bet a lot of money on it.

I’m in Oregon currently. One station selling B20 told me they don’t fill sprinters (good) and to go over to the next station that sold B5.

They have a 5% minimum biodiesel mandate here it appears. What I’ve run into now is lots of stations don’t say or know the % biodiesel but simply say no.2 and 15ppm (low sulfur). Not sure how to know the percentage unless people explicitly say it’s B5. Any ideas?
