I think one thing is that he recommends 15w30 oil vs the 5w30 that mbz recommends?
I also noticed in the mbz warranty document that the emissions equipment in a lot of states are covered much longer than the standard 3 year 36k mile warranty. i think it was up to 100K miles? Which not so suprisingly is when these vans seem to start needing the really expensive repairs.
What are you doing to your van as far as maintenance goes that is above and beyond recommended by MBZ to ensure that longevity of the emissions equipment?
