^^^^Hein,

I'm on it! You are right, it looks bad, thanks for pointing it out.

The black spots you see are me previously applying the coating you reference to the various electrical grounding screws SMB installed during the build. On my list is gathering up the grounds and running them all to the Blue Sea Systems 2300 bus bar that I have sitting on the workbench waiting for the appropriate time...

Once done I'll be sure to go back and coat everything that's visible from the outside.

Question: Any thoughts on what to use in the holes once I remove the various screws? I'm currently thinking of simply plugging them with SS threaded bolts.

For reference, here is what it looks like from the inside:

An Expensive Bit of MB Plastic...

The little plastic clip attached to the arm of the windshield wiper that is the end of the windshield washer nozzle broke....

A piece of black tape has been holding all in place for the past several months. Flint went in for his 3rd scheduled service last week so why not replace the (cheap little) part?

$21.41 out the door. Not so cheap, but I guess it's all relative....

It is Item 40 on the parts list screen shot in the first picture, the MB part number is shown in the second picture if you find yourself in need of one of these and want to order it on-line.

Ours broke on my last trip, The duct tape makes aiming difficult. Ours should be warranty, though?

Cheap little plastic part exposed to the sun, this looks like something we will be replacing every 4 or 5 years...

Flint is a 2016 at 58k+, no warranty for us!
