Re: new guy looking for some answers

I personally haven't had any issues bring my Sprinter into national or state parks.

When I had my class A, I bought the shortest possible for the same rationale - I got a 25' that was actually 26' and the state beaches near me have a 27' cutoff so even that rig went most places.

I think the Sprinter is around 22 or 23', and I intentionally didn't put an air conditioner, awning, etc. on it so it just looks like a big van.

Re: new guy looking for some answers

Hi,

The EB is a bit over 22' long and the extended version of the van is 24' long.

Re: new guy looking for some answers

We bought the 144" wheelbase just for that reason. For example, Mt Diablo, here in the Bay Area has a 19' length maximum although I have seen longer up there and never seen any measured.

One big ($) advantage is if you take the ferry to Alaska what you pay is based on length. Bellingham to Haines 19'= $949, Bellingham to Haines 21'=$1223 and the same at 22'=$1529.

Another advantage to the 19' is we fit in many parking spaces. Going to an A's game we pay for normal parking whereas a 22' is going to be most likely charged for 2 spaces.

Regards,

Keith
