newer side window coverings - reviews?

I seem to recall seeing pictures in a thread awhile ago of someone's window shades that were a different variety than mine (2018 build). These seemed to roll down, and have some insulation, as opposed to mine which pull down, with two layers, one translucent and one darker, but not particularly insulating.

Interested in any reports about the newer variety - I'm in a colder climate now and insulation would be great. Plus, are they quiet while driving? Mine seem to squeak a bit and I'm not figuring out a good way to manage the noise.

Perhaps it was my post re then-new SMB-W roll-up shades (post link). I still like them, especially because of their self storage. And they are silent when driving. But they do interfere a bit with the opening & closing of the sliding window -- window frame can catch on the shade's velcro ties (used to hold shade in rolled up position).

Our old (98) SMB had curtains on tracks, which I actually like much more than the "day/night shades" on our 2011. The curtains were easy to open and close, required no maintenance (they were 22 years old and still going strong), allowed full access to the window when pulled back, and made the van DARK when they were pulled shut (great for sleeping). The curtains "downstairs" were made of the same material used for the roll-down curtains in the PH top. The Day/Night Shades share none of these positive features IMO.
