Owl tire/gear rear hinge carriers - parktronic sensors

General question on the OWL carriers if anyone has them installed. Do they cause the parktronic sensors in the rear bumper to alarm?

I have the Owl ladder+tire carrier and it has not triggered the factory parking sensors.

I have the Owl Vans ladder/tire carrier on the driver's side and their cargo box on the passenger's side. There are no problems with the parking sensors.

Thanks to both for that information, it confirms other sources. Great change for our van.

COkid, could you tell me how high the ladder extends up from the hinges?

Owlvans only supplies the ladder for the high roof. I'm assuming the hinges are all in the same place and that my only issue is height. I have a low roof sprinter with a colorado camper van pop-top (about 11" or so extra height) so I'm thinking I might be in the right ballpark.

Thanks for any insight

It's 28 inches measured vertically (not along the curve of the ladder) from the top of the top hinge to the top of the ladder.

Hope this helps.

I'm assuming that all you folks with the Owl Van stuff are MB owners?
