Rain sensor stopped working.

2013 2500. One of my all time favorite features!

Seemed to be a little overly sensitive when we first got the van this summer but now nothing. I’ve adjusted the sensitivity to the highest setting.

Overhead console functions fine and light sensor operates the headlights correctly.

I don’t see a fuse dedicated to this feature in my manual- what am I missing?

Thanks!

Would it interest you all to know Safelite replaced the windshield just before we purchased it?

This is a Ford or Mercedes by chance?

Did this rain sensor work before Safelite messed with it? Have you address this with them yet?

Ok thanks! It’s a 2013 MB Sprinter. It seemed to work when we first got the van this summer in fact the windshield wipers would go on at seemingly odd times, when there didn’t seem to be any precipitation.

I adjusted the sensitivity between one and three in the dashboard menu but last week we had some rain and it didn’t work at all.

Safelight is instructed to use an "aftermarket" replacement windshield before an OEM is 'approved'. The first windshield on my BMW X5 didn't play nice with my Heads-up display or the rain sensor, so they replaced it again with another aftermarket - same issue. 2 weeks later they installed the OEM and I had no more issues.
Earlier this year I had another rock spider the windshield. I showed Safelight the paperwork on the last attempts and they referred me to my Insurance Company. The conversation with Insurance revealed they want the aftermarket applied first, even though they know some of the vehicles will require an OEM Replacement.
So we went through the process a second time (aftermarket installed first, then replaced again with OEM).
I'd Contact the Insurance company and let them know you'd like an OEM replacement.

Unfortunately because the previous owner paid for the new windshield, there is no warranty available.

I guess I’ll just have to live with it unless I want to pay a dealership.
