As EmMay brought up: Multiple sources are reporting that the EPA finally approved 2017 Sprinter commercial vans in late April. SMB told me that the approval was contingent on making software modifications. I suspect this would be to keep emissions lower below 50 degrees ambient temps? That was the problem that MB self reported. I think most of us waiting on SMB conversions will be using cargo or crew vans. I wonder if Mercedes' statement that they will not import any 2017 passenger vehicles applies to the passenger Sprinter?

So you are saying the 4 cylinder diesel will not be available, but the 6 cylinder will? Can you give us a source where you read that? The 2WD cargo van was available with a 4 cylinder diesel and that's a commercial vehicle.

He does say it's his opinion. A lot of people are going to be disappointed.
