"The Home" Vegas Pickup 2/7/18

I just wanted to take a minute and says thanks to those of you who make the forum such a great resource. I have been doing a lot of reading over the last couple years and finally joined as our SMB plans entered reality. With a rig in hand, I hope to eventually contribute something here.

The Home is a 2017 Sprinter 4x4 RB with a ph top and the 150 standard floorpan, extreme insulation, D5 heat + hot water, and rear shower. Also a sink and single burner induction cooktop but no-one, and I repeat no-one, will be cooking bacon inside the van.......The exterior is canvasite blue and has upgraded wheels, coatings, and a tire rack on the back. There is a plug-in for solar on the roof as I am still debating portable versus fixed solar panels. That is an interesting conundrum, parking in the sun...... (I am actually in the process of prototyping a reflective sun shade that could be deployed to keep the summer sun off the (parked) van. More later.

A photo of the rig just off the line is attached! Thanks again and we'll see you out there. R

Thanks for asking E Turn. Here are a few more pics. Next week during shakedown and prior to becoming lost in America, hopefully we can get some action shots taken outside--it's just not as scenic inside the SMB Fresno garage. P.S. with a handle like eddy turn, I'd guess you probably know something about K-1's. Back in the old days we built our own using vacuum bagged kevlar technology, not many around anymore. The numbers and browns canyon on the Ark and the upper and lower Taos box were favorites. Thanks R

"Lost in America"...love it. A dream most likely shared by the majority of us here on the Forum.

Beautiful rig!

I love getting lost in America. We're here to help.

Trip reports and pics off the beaten path are always extra appreciated.
