Window Choice

We are making choices for our new Sportsmobile. Our current unit has awing style windows which have been OK. What are the opinions relative to horizontal sliding windows versus the awning style? Over time do the sliders get loose and tend to contribute to road noise? On a completely separate subject, can anyone identify the business relationship of the 2 remaining Sportsmobile production sites, independent ownership? individual ownership? closely held LLC?

Can’t speak to the business relationship of the two operations, but I have a 2006 E-350 with sliders. After 17 years of use I have no issues with either wind or water penetration (and I hit them with high pressure water when washing).
