1996 dodge 2500

Hello, I just bought a fairly plain Sportsmobile that I wanna make look more aggressive. I can't seem to find anyone to lift it or any lifts whatsoever. So I'm looking for a roofrack, front bumper guard with winch, ladder to the roof, light bar , tow hitch, etc. Anyone point me in the right direction? So may websites out there it impossible to narrow it down. Also any ideas to beef it up would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Zenmobile--I too have a 96 Dodge that I purchased two years ago. I found out pretty quick that it was not easy finding all the extras she needs to give her that off road look. First I checked into having her converted to 4x4 and was told it was difficult and expensive. So I added a rear locker and carry Maxtrax. I went to Aluminees to ask about a rear bumper and ladder. Again, the bumper would have to made from scratch so a way too expensive for them to make. The ladder they can do by adding an extension to their existing ladder that they already sell. So, for the rear bumper I had fabricated for my van at a shop down the street. I got more height by adding larger wheels and tires but as I reversed out of the tire shop it rubbed a little when I turned the wheel. So I asked if they had a tool that cut metal and asked them to take a little off the wheel well. It worked-- but also made little cuts on the side walls of my tires from going through dips. If you cut your wheel wells have them rolled by a body shop. You too --will most likely have to have parts made for your van. I will say it makes it a more difficult having a Dodge-- but I love her and wouldn't trade her for the world.

Yah it's tough to own a Dodge, but it builds character. You bought it cheap so enjoy your discount.

I own 7 of 'em.
