Ac dripping on passenger floor

Has anyone else had their ac evaporator dripping on the passenger floor area? I can't find the source. Found the drain hole under the evaporate under the hood and it's clear, but still have a damp carpet on the passenger side. Any helpmappreciated before I try to pull plastic under the dash to try to find it

thanks, Brian

Re: Ac dripping on passenger floor

Are you sure it's just water? Could it be engine coolant from a bad heater core?

Re: Ac dripping on passenger floor

Cold water with no coolant smell. Seems to be coming out all around the plastic box under dash. I think the evaporator is outside the firewall. Will run the ac on the way home from work then try to find source when I get home. Very hot and humid here.

Re: Ac dripping on passenger floor

If the AC isn't related and it has been raining, could also come from the windshield that isn't watertight... happened on mine. Top center part was not tight and as the slope was going down on the driver side, noticed it there. But had also water marks on the passager side.

if the drain hole pipe is horizontal add a turn down "90 degree".
road wind could be the problem.
