Anybody have experience with Movebumpers.com?

No affiliation just wondering. It looks like they have diy bumpers for e350s with a few options including winch mounting. I'm seriously thinking of trying them out. The prices don't seem bad. Curious to see actual pics of one on a van.

I called Move Bumpers and talked to Kathy...Here are a few details.

Steel DIY bumper kits are $395+shipping. They apparently are multi-piece bent/formed 3/16" thick steel that require welding and painting or powder coating. You use your vehicle as the fixture.

They can also do aluminum kits for $595+shipping.

Fully finished bumpers are $1295......

Here are a few renderings that Kathy emailed me; the pictures on their website are from customers....so far no van customers have sent her pictures. I'm assuming the front bumper with grill protection is more $$. Also looks like the front bumper is for 1992-2007 only.

It looks like a great value to me even if you have a professional welder piece it together for you. Very tempting.

Interesting concept. Pricing is better than I expected.

Any idea how the front bumper attaches? I wouldn't winch or pull from a front bumper attached solely to the frame horns.

I looked at these, too, appears to be a great option for the DIY guy like myself. After the initial cost of any burly bumper, kit or otherwise, the shipping cost is a big part of the total cost. Assuming you weld, or can trade labor with a welder buddy of yours, a 'knock down' kit has to be less expensive to ship than a built unit, making it even more attractive.
