Hope this falls under 'Van Body'. Just starting our project with a '12 E150 with no barn door windows. Thinking about trying to find some windows at a salvage yard and cut them in. Anyone know if there's any slideshow or video tutorials posted somewhere? Worst case I guess I could take tons of pics when I pull the salvage window and reverse engineer the process.
What color is your van? If white it would be a lot simpler to just go find some rear doors with the windows already in them.
We're badly short of E series vans in the south. You have more of a concentration of salvage vans in cities with larger airports and more shuttles and population density. That means Atlanta. Maybe Charlotte yards for you would be a good bet.
Waaay easier to swap doors. That or the crl ones that you cut in, but there’s just something off with those looks wise. IMHO of course. Pay attention to hinge style when choosing doors. There’s a couple of different versions.
Putting oem windows will involve welding, bondo, and paint. Once you look at the recess needed to work you’ll understand.

I purchased a set of rear barn doors and side doors off Ebay a few years back for our van. It ended up being about $700 including shipping from the east coast. The doors were complete with all parts. I just swapped the lock tumblers from the old doors to match my existing locks. Alignment takes some patience but gaining the factory window openings is well worth it.
Finding doors with opening windows may be more difficult that ones with non opening windows. Fortunately, the opening windows are a direct bolt in replacement for non opening, so you can source them separately.
