Basement was full of water

So i went to drive the rig today. It has been parked for a month as I tore achilles. Well the basement was 2" deep in rusty water and all my stuff was pretty gross no surprise. I could not find any evidence that my doors were leaking. This is the SMB steel basement. Has anyone had a leak issue like this before? When the driver side rear door is closed I looked to see if the path of a leak would deposit the water into the basement and it is not the case. A bit baffled and not super mobile to deal with it. Looking for shared experience.

There should be a screw-in drain valve somewhere in the basement, and if it was missing, I could see water getting in, but conversely it should be able to get out as well.

Could a water jug on the van floor leaked and gotten in?

Drain plug was in. Check. I took the jug out after I saw water last time. Good idea Herb. I’m changing oil today and will look under for other mysteries.
