I followed Jeffrey's recipe for the rear barn doors (image below).
His photos for where to put the strip were super helpful; thanks Jeffrey!

I also fed latex tubing through the weather strips for driver's and passenger's doors (the strips attached to the body, not attached to the doors).

Same with the weather strip on the side barn doors.
But I also taped weather stripping along the bottom (see image below).

Nice to see this post revived! Great info and would have never found it! I've been having the same problem and will dig into this soon!

Yes, very useful indeed.
I treated all doors.
Back door concern was dust.
I hope that the treatment for the other doors will help reduce noise while driving.

Just keep in mind that what pulls the dust in the back is the vacuum created against the back doors by the van's forward motion. Best thing I've found to keep the dust out is to run the fan motor on high and create positive pressure inside.

Just got back from a trip in which I drove over 200 miles on dirt. This year having been a severe drought here in Nevada, the roads are disintegrating into what the locals call "bug dust" - huge bowls and strips of fine silt. My van was so covered that before coming home I had to visit the nearest car wash. But the inside stayed clean.

Layer of "bug dust" coated on the back of my quad. Can't even tell what the original color of the travel case was!

Thanks for the tip, but the fan didn't keep the dust out in our van.
That Nevada fine dust is quite the dust!

Rear Door Dust:
2003 E350 EB
Mucho dust enters from the read doors.
Inspection shows most of the dust enters thru the bottom of the doors.
Looks like Marcel Huijser solution is what I need to try.
Can you give me specific spec's on the material you used Marcel?
2003 E350 EB SMB 4X4 7.3 293,000 hoping the rest will be dust free
