Boxed steps and rock sliders (WTD)

We have a couple different style of rock sliders in the works/ design process. Here is a look at our boxed plate step/slider.
I understand that it may be hard to tell exactly what they will look like on the vehicle until they are done, but this will give you an idea.

These are going to be in the $1000+ price range.

These are steal but we are tossing around the ideal of aluminum if someone wants to commit.

Re: Boxed steps and rock sliders (WTD)

I absolutely love my retractable Rock Slide steps except for the maintenance. Being able to lock down the steps in a lower position while in camp is a huge benefit. I found boards are generally too high and I worry about ripping off a hoop step. So I'm giving the RS steps a chance but if I keep having issues I'll be looking for a replacement solution

Re: Boxed steps and rock sliders (WTD)

Over the weekend we had a chance to put some more time into the rock sliders. Here is another look at the first of several different styles.

More pics coming soon:

We are going to be selling both style brackets along with the complete slider. Here is the link to the ones we used with this build.

We completed the first set this week and had the chance to test them out a little.

Re: Boxed steps and rock sliders (WTD)

A couple people on other sites commented that the price of these sliders seemed a bit much, so here is a picture of almost all the pieces that go into building these.
This starts as a 4x4x.250 sheet of plate which we have water jet to our design.
Pictured here is our boxed style, same amount of parts for the tube ones as well

Thanks for checking them out, we will add a pic once theses are all welded up..
