Damn I miss a sliding side door!

I have A 1995 e350 and really miss having a sliding side door. Has anybody traded the barn doors for a slider? Haven't even seen one in person so wondering how much body work is required.
Thanks, Brian

I'm guessing its easier to just trade the van. The upper and lower tracks are actually present in barn door vans, but you'd have to replace the wall so gain the rear-mid track. As far as I know, it is not included. But I've never looked closely at a cargo van to see if maybe it is hidden behind the bodywork.

I love not having a slider, maybe it was from having older abused vehicles, but sliders were always a pain to me!

I have a van with the barn doors, and one with the slider. I like having the slider soooo much better! There are pros and cons to both, but I would rather have a slider.

Re: Damn I miss a sliding side door!

My happy day was getting rid of the sliding door van and moving UP to the SMB with the barn doors. As said, they both have advantages. To each, his/her own. I agree, changing doors would be a serious project. I looked into it going the other way. Decided it was easier to spend $100k on the SMB.
