I would rather have the OEM strap too.
Probably just a few dollars at the junkyard.

I don't know, the one's in the first pics look like rusty pieces of crap that will greatly increase the odds someone will trip getting into or out of your van.

FWIW, I would look up a Jeep or Bronco door limiting strap if you want to go this route.
