There are several cool Chevy builds on Expo (Expedition Portal 2/4wd van section) you should check out. There are also some lengthy threads on AWD Chevy and Chevy van info in general. I realize you aren't looking at an AWD Chevy but these threads have lots of general Chevy info in them, stuff like wheel offset, etc.

Welcome. Sounds like a good plan.

Cassette toilets are worth it for some of us.

I have 285/70R17 tires, 8.5" wide wheels, with a GMC Quigley and Weldtec Designs lift. Lift is about 4 inches or so.

Believe the wheels are 0 offset and 4.75 backspacing.
Method wheels through Weldtec.
