Fitting Ford side mirrors to Chevy?

Hi can anyone tell me if the Ford E-Series Van side mirrors would be adaptable to my 1998 Chevy Van?

The reason I ask this is the Chevy's mirrors have an annoying tendency to float in the wind and make it difficult to see especially at night when they vibrate/waggle

Offhand I would say no. There is nothing in a tow mirror for Chevy or GMC?

I'm sure it can be done. But, at what cost? It wouldn't be easy.

Maybe it would be easier to adapt some later GM mirrors. And maybe one of our GM drivers will help you with that part.

I think it would more work than its worth.

And the newer GM van mirrors are really any different.

I would suggest doing what U-haul does.... Ditch the GM mirrors, and go with Velvac. THey are not extendable, but they are available in several arm lengths and can be heated and lighted. The U-haul 10' box vans have short arm, since the body is not any wider than a regular van.
