Generic Seat Belt Receiver for 2013 Buckles?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with using a generic seat belt buckle receiver with their new-style (from a 2013) seat belt buckles? Or maybe a Ford receiver from another vehicle?

I have a 2nd row OEM captain's seat that has the old-style seat belt receiver. The OEM ford buckle is PN 8C2Z-1660044-CA (grey) or 8C2Z-1660044-CB (tan), but these have been discontinued and haven't been in stock online for months.

I could also replace my seat belts with the old-style seat belts, but figured replacing the receivers on the seats would be easier/cheaper. This is what I'm currently leaning towards using, but figured I'd see if anyone had any guaranteed solutions before taking the "shotgun" approach and buying parts until one fits.

Semi-related, I may have an old-style passenger-side 2nd row seat belt assembly for sale here pretty soon. Brand new condition, just opened the box and unwrapped to verify. I believe it is PN 6C2Z-16611B68-AAA. Purchased from forum member thejm, just decided to go a different direction per my above post. Would pass it on for the same price of $50 shipped.

Also might have two old-style captain's chair seat belt receivers for sale. I believe very similar to PN 6C2Z-16601A90-KA, but in the tan color (medium pebble). $70 for the pair?

Thanks MG! Providing valuable info as always. Based on the photos those look pretty interesting - almost like an electrical cable lug w/ heat shrink.

Part of me wonders whether these cheap seat belt components being sold on Ebay would meet whatever safety/certification requirements are required of the OEM parts. Another part of me doesn't want to know...

I can almost guarantee you that you don't want to know. I wouldn't worry about it personally. Some would, some wouldn't.

The front Eseries receiver is a cable attached to a cannon-like pyrotechnic device... safety is relative.

Looks like a receiver from the front seats of Transit would be easy enough to source. I posted over on the Transit forum to see if anybody could take some measurements for me, so fingers crossed that might be a suitable solution.

Awesome, thank you very much! Just to confirm, you are referring to these two dimensions?

If so, seems like the Transit receiver will work with the Econoline buckles. Fingers crossed...

Correct, measured front passenger seat. I saw your post on the "other" forum.
