Help identifying rear axel type
Hey gang,
I need to replace the rear diff cover because I bent the stock one while offroading last week and am dripping diff fluid. Trying to confirm this is a Dana 60 but can't really make out what the numbers on the axel are conveying.
This is on a 2008 Ford E350 EB 6.8L super duty Quigley converted 4x4
From what I can gather the Gear Ratio Tag Reads the following:
4.10 V8C24 - FF
20 04 153 - G L S
The Dana imprint on the Diff cover reads
<Dana>
42799 1
084 8
RFV D
11 10 00
On the bottom left wing of the diff: 47610
On the Top left wing of the diff: 8086
On the bottom right wing of diff: Nothing
On the Top Right wing of diff: C5
See pictures as well - I didn't have my tape measurer handy but could measure the diff cover dimensions if needed.
Thanks in advance for help! I'm planning on upgrading the rear diff cover to an ARB iron cover that seems to be popular amongst the 4x4 community.
