Help what the? Indicators with dual filaments?

Hello All

I am stuck re wiring my Chevy Van to have Euro spec trailer lights...
I need to have independent indicators from brake lights so I need to get the front L&R indicator "juice" and bring them to the rear tailor plug...

I fiddled around and found that the front indicators bulbs have 2 filaments, what for???
Completely con-fused

Blown already one bulb in the process
Any suggestions welcome

One for the " position" light
One for the blinker

May be like that? or special CH version...
