Perfect!!! Thanks. I laid mine out at 2.5 from the side and it looked too far over. I will go with you measurements. I really appreciate it.

I did as Robb said and set them at the best location in respect to the structure of the inside hood area. Seems a lot of the hoods differ year to year. I also set them where the hood bra was clear. The last big thread on this had some performance test results that varied compared to mine. I saw a larger drop in transmission temperature while on the road... not as much with the ECT. I'm one who lost a harness due to the 6.0's engine bay heat. When the engine is shut down I do know a lot of heat escapes out of them after I park.

Ok, I installed them today. Ended up 3" from the top edge of the hood and 4" from the side of the hood. Thanks for everyone's help. Hopefully this will make it easier for other people wanting to do the mod.

I was thinking of removing the rubber seal at the back of the hood and seeing if it allows much flow.

Has anyone looked at the Run Cool vertical side vents? I was thinking of doing those turned horizontal on the side of the van front fender similar to what Badger has done on his?
