Re: Leaking windshield
I had a similar situation. It started a couple years ago with a little water dripping in on the passenger side when I went downhill after either a long rain, or after snow had melted off the roof. I thought the windshield was leaking. Since I had lots of little moutain driving pits in the windshield, I decided to have the windshield replaced. It didn't fix the leak. Our Penthouse top had lots of deep cracks in the gel coat, so I figured it was the top. In November, we had Sportsmobile replace the top with the new coating and the electric option. I had mentioned to Peter that we had a leak in the roof somewhere. Before we picked up the van at Sportsmobile, Peter had the guys water test the roof. It still leaked. They took down the cubbys over teh windshield and pulled back the ceiling to see where the water was coming in. They found the leak. It was actually on the driver side, near the top corner of the windshield, where the roof gutter is welded to the roof by the pillar. They patched it and it hasn't leaked since. Our van is a 2004. oclv
