Leather Seats

Can anyone direct me to a supplier for leather seat covers/upholstery that will fit like factory? I'm not interested in just covering the old fabric, but leather replacements.

I've been planning on checking with Sportsmobile for a set of their seat covers. But like many other things, I have not yet gotten around to it.

Just curious, not a dig at all:

I have had several "nice" cars with leather seats

They get a sheepskin cover, driver and passenger

Warm in winter
Not sticky and doesnt burn in summer

Other than the look, why seek out leather replacements
especially since you can get real sheepskin, custom fit
for $ 400 for the pair

Good question Bill Wilson. I just got a car with leather seats and I like it.

For the last 27+ years I've been using a wheelchair after I broke my neck in a boating accident. In 1983, I was asleep on a bunk with my head to the front of the boat, and the guy at the wheel fell asleep and ran into land just outside of Vancouver BC, up an inlet called Indian Arm.

Long time ago and many vehicles later........

In my photos, you can see the seat base I use to make it easier to transfer into. It goes up and down, back and forth, and swivels 45 degrees. The leather seats don't hold on to your clothes. It's so much easier to move in them. All my sh** doesn't get in a bunch, if you know what I'm saying. I expect I'll improve the padding at the same time.

I've been thinking about something similar, All the decent custom shops I know of come in a bit cheaper than leatherseats.com. And that's installed, custom made to exactly what you would like, not the standard 3 designs that leatherseats offer.
I've had quotes from 700 to 1200 for the two front, custom design leather. The lower pricing is leather seat part the leatherette other parts.

But, there are a bunch of slip covers that are a lot cheaper, but as you said they all seem to be slip covers and not real seat covers replacements.

Also, adding heat to the seat is only about $100 once you have the cover off.

I almost wish I would have went with a cloth seat and something like the Wet Okole or similar...at least on the front seats.

My 2010 XLT cloth seats were still in good condition, but I have 3 kids under 6 years old, and vinyl seats are easier to clean and more durable than cloth. I don't really like seat covers, so a couple weeks ago I went shopping for some OEM vinyl/leather seats. Some sellers on Ebay wanted $500 a seat! But I found a great van seat dealer in nearby Indiana that only wanted $145 a seat. So I drove there and got the seats. I really like these seats better than the cloth ones. Also they feel a bit firmer, which I like. And they should stay looking good longer than cloth seats. They took my cloth seats as a partial trade. The people were very nice and helped me install the new seats. They have hundreds of new and used seats for Chevys and Fords. You can pick up the seats, or they will ship the seats, but its expensive. For seats Call Wayne at DMC in Huntingburg, IN. 877-683-8267
