Definitely. Shopping for one now. Probably get me in more trouble. Any recommendations? Extended savana quigley4x4. Close to 10k lbs. I seen some rated to 17000lbs.
Tires first. Any Quigley Savanas out there with no lift running 275’s?

It’s easy to get a couple inches lift out of a Quigley Express if you want to and pretty inexpensively. 2” blocks for the rear and just turn the keys in the front a bit or buy new keys. Made mine ride better as well as it got it up off the bumps some. I’d also recommend Sumo Springs for the font on these. Another inexpensive improvement that will improve things noticeable especially for a van carrying a bit of extra weight.

I've searched the used market and even then they're $500+, factor in the installation (you'll likely need to buy factory mounts/straps or fabricate something), cleaning (since like me, you have a duramax, and used 55 gallon diesels are super rare) and the cheapest I figured I could get it done was $700-$1000. That's insane.

Has anyone tried this or found another route to install a larger capacity fuel tank? This 55 gallon tank is pretty attractive but would it fit on a 3500 EB van? I can't find anything showing the installation.
Also has anyone seen a dual filler neck they think would fit or would they add a separate fuel port?

Hi all! Wanted to share my Savana I just picked up. 2011 1500 AWD with 72k miles. I'll be building it out as a daily driver and simple weekend camping vehicle for whitewater kayaking and mountain biking. First items will be a platform bed with storage underneath and 100ah LifePO4 battery charged from the alternator. Also want to replace these wheels and tires with something smaller and less fugly ASAP - probably 16 or 17 inch Falken Wildpeaks as I liked those a lot on my 4Runner. Doing some research on what size would be best, so chime in if you have any suggestions!

Congrats and welcome. Be careful charging the LifePO4 from the alternator, make sure the charging profile works.
Tires. If the van is stock height, not going to be able to go too big without rubbing. Most of us 4x4 van people run 17" or 16" wheels/tires I think. Original size on my van was 245/75R16. I could have gone a little taller without rubbing. I'm running 285/70R17 now with the lift, just under 33" tall. Suggest you see how tall the current tires are and how much clearance you have, then base new tires on diameter/height.

I’d recommend a 2inch lift kit from Boulder Offroad and then you can run a 265x17 tire. Buddy of mine has that setup on an AWD and it looks good and works well.

There is a hole in the middle of this seat swivel should your van seats have airbags inside them and you need to run the wires through the swival. This does require cutting the wires, running them through the swival and then soldiering them back together and protecting each wire with heat shrink tube.

I have looked at that site before. Any recommendations on captains chairs to replace the stock GMC seats?

Thanks! I got a Renogy DCC50S, so I should be good on charging.

Excellent, DC-to-DC charger is the best option.

Extended 2009 Duramax
6” Weldtec lift. 33’s on Hummer wheels
Stock Chevy Govlock. Works good on the trail for a heavy beast.
Changing the interior from a Sportmobile build with a jackknife bed to a RB50 layout. Work in progress.
Ran the Broken Arrow trail in Sedona last month and it was great.
Building Rocksliders and bumpers.
Picked up an older H1 rack (aluminum), that I need to cut and narrow...fab mounts...etc.
