I started this thread, and yes, my Monstaliner top is in great shape. I had a few crack-like spots in the back due to flex in fiberglass, but that wasn't a Monstaliner problem and they were easily filled. Has stood up to rain, hail, heat, and sun.

This is great news I would like to have my high top and rockers done, maybe the whole van, I'm still undecided on that.

1 kit for Raptor Liner and you'll have a good big left. Have some other parts prepped.

How are the black sex/binder bolts looking colorwise? I am thinking of using those on mine but not sure that them turning too purple will look good with my color van where I could see how it could work with yours. Got any recent pics of the bolts? Thx!

The bolts were the typical purple color for the first few months and have settled to a brown color for the last year. Unless a your a few feet away they look like brass instead of aluminum. Other than the color change they have been great. No streaking of oxidation or corrosion yet of any kind, just not black.

Awesome thread! A few questions to anybody who was completed this project...

1. How did you sand/prep your top? (ie..what sandpaper, wet or dry etc?).

2. Channel strut installation https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...e-24479-4.html during this process. Is it better to install the unistrut on top of the monstaliner.....or on the bare sanded fiberglass? (ie....for leaks and butyl adhesion etc).

3. New penthouse bolt hardware from the forum. Better to install this hardware on top of the monstaliner or to the prepped fiberglass? (It looks like @shuttlepilot installed on top of the monstaliner).

4. How much Monstaliner did you use for:
- An RB top
- An EB top

5. What exact size and type of sex bolts did you use? (https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...p-10808-5.html).

6. Which exact punch tool did you use? (leather punch?)

7. Where did you get a new penthouse gasket? (ie...now that SMB west is no longer).

8. How much did you stretch your penthouse gasket? (ie...After heating it in the sun how much did you stretch it? Should it be pulled tight between sex bolts when its hot and pliable? Any issues when it cools down and shrinks?)

9. Any tips or things you wish you did differently?

Thank you!

Pretty much every question you've asked is answered in this thread or in threads linked from it. Did you read this entire thread?
