Removing Econoline A-pillar trim (3rd generation / 1990)

I need to run some wiring behind the A pillar trim on my 1990 E-250. (Driver's side, preferably, but either works.) I can't figure out how to get the trim off, or even loosen it. I removed the two obvious screws at the top and about halfway up, but I still can't pry the trim away from the pillar. Is there a trick, or do I just need to pry harder? I was starting to deform the plastic and didn't want to break anything.

(Note that this is the 3rd gen interior with thin trim on the A pillars, not the later version with grab handles.)
