Roof Replacement Question

This may seem like an odd question because it's kind of backwards. Is it possible to remove a high top and replace it with a stock roof? The reason for my question is I am looking for a mobility converted 2013 or 2014 E350 with a regular roof. They are hard to find. I see lots with high tops but that won't work for me. I need something that can fit in my garage. I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted this before. Is it something a body shop could or would do?
Thanks
Darryl

Yes a body shop shouldn't have trouble replacing it. Just beware it'll probably cost more than a new Penthouse top.

hmm

Might be cheaper to lower the ride height if your use and destinations allow..

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I just want one that is newer. I currently have a 2006 E250 with a 6" drop floor. I am looking for a 2011 or newer E350 with a 9" drop floor with low miles. I have found a few. I did come across a 2011 E350 with the 9" drop floor but it also has a raised roof which doesn't work for me. Hence my query of removing the high top. Nice find though.
Thanks
Darryl

That is very slick. I've never seen one with that much of a drop.

How much of a high top is too high? Maybe you could just swap the current high top for a lower one, heck maybe even get a GTRV top while your already spending money. Same height as stock roof.

I'm limited with what I can fit in my garage. No raised roof will work. By the time I add 6" of suspension lift and 35's it will just fit with a regular roof.

How do they drop the floors in these vans? Don't the floors sit directly on top of the frame rails?
