Seat Swivels for Scheel-Mann

Toby at Scheel-Mann told me they don't provide the Ford Econoline (1998) swivels for their seats. I can't remember the source and did a search here and couldn't find it.

Who makes the swivel for the Scheel-Mann-Mann seats?
Can I use the swivels currently in the van (unlikely, I suppose)?
I see that Sportsmobile has swivel bases. Will those work?

Thanks!

Hi Terry,
The question to ask Scheel Mann is if their seats will bolt up to the Ford OEM bases/tracks. If they do, then the seat swivels I sell “should” work. It may require a bit more jockeying to get them to clear the doors, etc.

Let me know, Thxs!

Thanks, Ray. Toby with Scheel-Mann said he is told the swivels sold by Sportsmobile fit, so I suspect they do. If that's the case, shouldn't the swivels I already have fit?

Hey, how's the ski trip? Good, I hope!

Then they should work!

Ski trip started a big late but is good! Couple days at Deer Valley, now checking off Alta. Hanging w friends here in SLC. Next week is Aspen, then hanging out w friends in Leadville. Steamboat, Big Sky and Jackson Hole are on the schedule after that. 😊

Every night is in Beastie which is so wonderful. Insulation has been excellent and I added a few tweaks to test out for single digit temperatures camping. One thing for sure will be tank and line heaters for the holding tanks! Forgot to open the gate valve and had a cylinder of ice blocking the water to flow out!! A hair dryer and running hot water cleared it enough but still, I was - duh, why didn’t I think of putting heaters on the holding tank! Water tanks are inside do they were no worry.

Sounds like a great ski trip! All beautiful places. I often watch the Jackson Hole live stream street cam and wish I was there.
Have fun and safe travels.

I have Scheel-Mann seats in my econoline with swivels for both front seats. I used the Base-Fab brackets for Scheel-Mann to Econoline base. Then purchased the Swivel bases from Van Haus. I believe they are the same as SMB. Everything worked out very nice. Love the seats!

We used the one that came with our old Econoline seats. The thing we did not count on was having to order the stationary base for the driver’s seat. Thank goodness for eBay. And LOVE the new seats!!!
