sliding window glass

I have a 92 Dodge hi top. Came with drivers side sliding window covered with very small cabinets. Took them off. They crushed the tracks to prevent theft. Duh I broke the safety glass sliding window. Fix? going to get some plexi until I know how to get new glass.

It's doubtful you'll find anything in the replacement parts area for such an old window unit. I'm in the auto/truck glass business FWIW.

The ONLY way to replace glass in this unit would be finding a shop willing to do the work---that'd be your first hurdle. It would not be cheap as the entire unit has to come out in order to create a pattern which in turn requires the unit to be disassembled. None of those steps can be done with the unit still installed in the van top.

Lexan would be the best choice durability-wise but it scratches easily, simply opening and closing the slider will do that.
