I installed a roll of PPCU (Privacy Performance Carpet Underlay) from Sound Isolation Company underneath our plywood floor:

It's basically closed cell foam attached to a to layer of MLV (mass loaded vinyl). The closed cell foam acts to decouple vibrations while providing some insulation and remaining waterproof, and the MLV deadens noise by both blocking and absorbing acoustic energy.
While I can't compare to Vantred, which seems like it would also be a good solution, I can say that the PPCU works fantastically. Our floor started as bare metal coated with bedliner material by the PO. The bedliner material clearly makes a difference, based on a panel we removed from under one of the seat mounting locations, but the improvement with PPCU was dramatic.
After installing the PPCU, it became clear just how much noise comes from the firewall, doors, windshield, etc. We drove around with just the PPCU laid down for months before installing the plywood floor, and adding the plywood (with a closed cell foam and rubber floor covering) didn't make a perceptible difference in noise despite the wood being sandwiched to the metal van floor by L-track.
I intended to finish the cab floor with carpeting, but it turns out that the vinyl top of the PPCU has worked out quite well so I decided to throw some Husky all weather floor mats on top and call it good.
Note that for MLV to be effective, it requires mass. In the case of PPCU, it uses 1lb/ft2 vinyl. Clearly this will add weight to your vehicle, but I have zero regrets given the benefits.
I bought from (and recommend) this seller:
