Spare tire removal

Forgot to do this before installing the aluminess tire carrier. Went out to remove and the aluminess tire carrier blocks the access hole to lower the old spare. Anyone expierence this, have any tips other than removing the aluminess carrier to access it?

For what it's worth, that sounds like something I would do. Good luck.

Garage
I did it as well when I installed their spare tire mount. I was able to remove the little plastic guide cone and still access the tire winch. It’s been quite a few years since I did it so I don’t remember specifics, but I was able to do it without removing the bumper again.

I simply made the needed clearance using a die grinder.

Spare tire removal

Double goof. I had the bed built around the spare wrench so even if I had access don’t have access to the tool lower it. Hahahhahahahah. Anyone have a spare one laying around they want to let go.

You can reach under the van and turn rod mechanism by hand.

You’re welcome. On another note, what type of bed mattress do you have and do you like it?
How thick is it and what type of foam?
I’ll Be looking for something to double as bench pads and mattress.
