BUDGET BED LINER: Using Henry's white roofing sealant as bed liner + exterior "paint"

In this old thread about coating your van with bed liner, there was some discussion about using Henry's white roofing sealant (289 Elastomeric) because it's only $31.00 per gallon.

I was wondering if anyone else has used Henry's since then and how it's holding up?

And if not Henry's, what's the latest on using other cheaper alternative coatings instead of expensive ones like Monstaliner, etc?
