Weldtec Designs Cali Special Bumper

I recently purchased a Weldtec Designs Cali Special bumper for the front of my personal van. I am going for the prerunner function and look and it's the obvious choice for my needs. The setup was relatively easy to install and I opted for the unpainted finish so it can be powdercoated to match the other stuff on the van when the time comes. For now, it's simply rattle canned to keep rust away.

In keeping with the theme of the look, I chose to run the Glassworks fiberglass front fenders also available from Weldtec Designs. The fit and finish is great for an aftermarket fiberglass part and the added clearance will help when the bigger tires show up.

Quality auxiliary lighting is essential offroad and Baja Designs products are a no-brainer. They are USA made in San Diego and have the best warranty in the business. The optics are user serviceable and output patterns are simple to change. I added a 30" OnX6 wide driving led bar and a set of Squadron Pro XL spot pods to the top of the bumper. If more light than this is needed, you are doing something wrong, especially in a van!

Overall, I am very pleased with the look and functionality of the front end of the van with the bumper and lights installed. Time to move on the next project....

How does the new light bar compare to the Morimoto one you had before? Are you selling the Morimoto bar?

The difference is staggering....like not even close to comparable. Most of the light bars overseas are great at flood lighting, even the ones that have spot optics. The Baja Designs bar, though setup as a wide driving with my current lens set, is extremely efficient at long distance throw. Also helps that I have the lighting zones covered further with the Squadron XL Pro high speed spots on each side of the bar.

The Morimoto bar is for sale. I am asking $120 or best offer (add $10 if shipped). It currently has the two amber lens covers in place for safety offroad. It will be shipped with the appropriate pigtail to make the plug and play connection a breeze. It's a really nice bar for the price range. This can ship out asap. Email me at VantageOptics@gmail.com and we will make it happen!

Photos show the size difference (Morimoto-27" BD-30") and the output (Morimoto top, BD bottom....both with Vantage Optics HID low beams only on). Final photo shows the capability of the Morimoto bar with high beams on at 50+mph offroad.
