Thanks for the info! Will 265 look awkward on a 10"? Would they even fit? I'm a noob when it comes to trucks, I'm used to low profile sports car fitment.

Not sure on the look or fit with the 10" wide rims in the front. I just havent ever seen a 2wd that has gone that wide. Tire manufacturers only recommend 7-9" rim width for 265 tires. I just went through this last month and purchased kmc enduro 16x8 with 265/75/16.

So I ended up buying these Eagle alloys: 17"x9" with -12mm offset (pictured below). Good luck to me fitting tires, I really hope the 265/70/17 will not rub when turning. That seems to be the only common LT size. I assume 245/75/17 is too skinny for a 9" rim or would it work? It's almost the same size as the 265/70 but the stretch would bring the height down.

Suggestions? Advice? Tires?

Flyview, every tire manufacturer publishes specs that detail what size rim matches each tire size. For example, this is a portion of BFG's data sheet for the popular BFG KO2. As you can see, BFG recommends a 7" rim for their 245 series in the 17" wheel size. They don't recommend a 9" rim until you get to a 305mm tire width. The 265 series tires are spec'd for an 8" wheel. There is wiggle room--my rig has LT 285/70R17s, which are spec'd for 8.5" wheels, and they are currently running comfortably on 9" wheels.

I'm getting away with a half inch stretch. Wiser heads than mine will have to weigh in on how much more than that might work.

Hey guys I wanted to update you with what I ended up doing the next day. I found both 265/70/17 LT tires (7.8% taller than stock) and 245/75/17 LT tires (7.5% taller than stock). I decided to try the 245/75/17 on the 9" rim because if it did work, the stretch would bring the height down and closer to stock. I was worried they'd be too big. Well the 245/75/17 worked just fine and they barely even look stretched at all. They are very close to rubbing the front bumper, and I did actually have to very slightly trim the lower inside plastic on the front bumper on one side (you can't see it unless you know to look for it inside the bumper). They stick out much more, with the rear tire finally being flush with the fender and the front sticking out more than the fender/bumper.

So to summarize:
17"x9" ET-12 rims with 245/75/17 tires.

Here's a picture of before vs the final result (droopy exhaust also fixed)!

Looks much better. I'm about to go with 8" wheels and 265/70/16's on my 2013 E350. Aluminess rack and ladder on the way here too! Christmas in May!

So after east coast moisture, ocean spray exposure and not enough cleaning, the center caps (and lug nuts) have rusted like crazy.

What are my options for replacing these with something that won't rust?

It would be nice to get shorter ones, I don't think my 2WD hubs need ones that protrude out this much.

Perhaps these:

But our center bores are 124.9mm or 4.917".
