Best trailer to buy

I am looking for recommendations for a good trailer. I don't need a built in tent, cooking / kitchen equipment etc. Just has to be good on fairly bumpy roads and still OK for highway travel. I need good storage and hopefully low enough that items like kayaks could easily be placed on top but still be accessible. Any thoughts?? Thanks

I have an SMB trailer. Two bikes are carried on top and we can still access the inside storage. It has plenty of ground clearance for any road. There is one on the SMB West used vehicle site right now.

Website for supplier

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the tip. I may be missing something but could not find this on the web. Do you know if the supplier / manufacturer has a website?

David,
There is a used trailer at the sportsmobile web site. If you go to the used sportsmobiles section at sportsmobile west about four or five entries down you will find it.

I saw the trailer on the Sportsmobile site. Looks about what we are looking for. Can you direct direct me to the manufacturers website? Thanks

Sportsmobile is the manufacturer.

www.sportsmobile.com > 4X4 > 4X4 Options > trailers.

The folks that manufacture the trailer is Sportsmobile. They don't just sell them, they make them. You can't buy them new anywhere else.

I missed this one. I was told that SMB speced out the trailer and some other company made them but I could be wrong. When I broke my spring at DV SMB informed me they would have to find out from the maunfacture what exact spring pack I needed. I would think if they made the trailer they would know what parts were used. It is possible they assemble some of the parts of the trailer at SMB
