Does that lower line head right into the bushes?

Yeah, there's a slot between the two bushes. Here's the upper line.

Well that looks like a good time. Is that the bottom of hiline or hangover? Sadly the one time I was in Sedona we didn't bring the bikes.

It's a technical line with exposure off the normal Hangover route on the nose. This gives a better perspective. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/Sequen...y-46-2013.html

I think Nate Hills did a video on those lines with one of the locals a little bit back. Didn't realize there was a cliff right there though...

Yes, last year. Nate and some locals put down some sick lines. This one amongst others. I was riding with the Bossman who did this: https://www.outsideonline.com/205396...al-rock-sedona

That cliff face is imposing to begin with, seeing him roll off the top...well, About 20 different descriptive words rattled around my mind... When he reached the bottom I simply settled on AWESOME. Thanks for sharing JoeH.

Simon is my hero for us older types trying to stave off the aging process and still acting like kids. I'm one year from 60 but still like technical riding. Risk-reward does come with consequences.

You guys are definitely on the extreme end of riding bicycles. I fall off my recliner just watching that stuff. I would compare it to climbing shear rock faces without rope, or speeding back to earth in your winged body suit.
While at the extreme edge, it is not a common sense thing to do for the average thrill seeker cyclist. I've had injury do a lot less (I have the screws plates & rods for my actions). I will stick to my KTM 200 woods bike for my extreme thrill seeking.... (quite moderate actually)
...Certainly jaw dropping to watch. Good on you crazies.

I personally find MTB to be somewhat low risk in comparison to other outdoor activities - certainly less risky than skiing or road biking, and most of the studies have supported that theory (outside of pro-level racing). Certain lines require commitment but most have the option of a clean (ish) bail if you need to, even if that entails sliding down a rock face. If you're not doing 30 mph most crashes aren't too bad either.
It's awesome to see some older guys still pushing hard in the sport. That line made my palms sweat, and if the video looks steep - holy F is it steep in real life. If you're looking for some 'old guy' stoke Brett Tippie is still sending it as hard as ever - including nasty rock rolls and drops in the wet and at night. Super impressive stuff.
