Need a functional bike rack hitch extender? Well this design might fit the bill. I wanted a model that clears the Aluminess box, allowing me to drop the rack and open the barn doors, while still maintaining the angle of departure. This hitch extender lifts the rack 4+ inches, while still providing adequate bumper and ground clearance. The rear is capped to keep crud out while the front tubes are open for ventilation.
My friend Shelby and I fashioned this prototype. If you are interested in a production model. Let me know. Cost will be $100 plus shipping.
