Re: Hensley hitch for towing
A properly setup trailer should not ever sway under normal conditions. So... make sure the tendency is not there before you install a fancy hitch.
I did have a Hensly, but it broke. My trailer was too heavy. I upgraded (downgraded?) to a Reese Dual Cam and was just as happy with that. In some situations, I liked it better, because there is no "Hensley Bump". But bottom line is it was stronger. The Hensley was not up to the task of my 41' 18,000 pound Weekend Warrior. It actually ripped apart at the welds. But the folks at Hensley had no problem refunding my purchase, even though I had reduced the hitch to a pile of scrap.
Another hitch similar to the Hensley is the ProPride 3P. It is the latest version of Jim Hensley's design and has some updates vs the "Hensley" brand hitch.
