Re: Inflatable kayaks/canoes?

Well, I ordered an NRS Pike. It had everything I wanted for fishing, but was too heavy for me to load and unload and generally move around (56 lbs). I sent it right back and got the NRS Outlaw 1 (26 lbs). We took it on our 5 week Montana trip and it was great. I added some D-rings to attach fishing gear. The floor is a separate piece that inflates like a SUP. You can kneel and move around without sinking to below water level. When not fishing, the dogs were comfortable. It holds me and 2 dogs (50 lbs each), or me and Bill. I used it on the lake, and on the Madison and Trinity Rivers. It doesn't handle quite like my hardshell WW kayak, but it ferries well, does nice eddy turns and peel outs. I am very pleased with it and am adding an anchor and a Scotty rod holder.
