Aluma 5x8 utility trailer

We thought hard about getting an enclosed trailer, but we use it around town like a pickup just as much as we take it on trips, so we got an open one. The Aluma is truly a premium unit - it has 14" alloy wheels, bifold ramp/tailgate, torsion suspension, LED lighting, and a tongue jack. I can roll it around the house or the campsite by hand, when empty.

Loaded like this it is about 1100 pounds.

Occasionally, this contraption. He could happily camp in the SMB, always, but she requires a little more luxury for our week long stays in Florida. So far, in 8 months, it hasn't been used for anything else. Oh well, if mama ain't happy..............

Towing our 2007 E1 tent trailer. I'll be selling the trailer soon and using those funds to add a pop top on the van.

In my home state, I tow my trailer camper with my conversion van (don't have a Sportsmobile yet). I have converted my van into a camper that I use for long distance travel out of state. The link to a complete listing of everything I have done to it can be found at:
http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fu...d/28113784.cfm

When I travel out of state on longer vacations and trips, I don't tow anything but I do have a blue box on a tray at the back that is low enough to open the rear doors but still carry things like camper stove, propane, firewood, and other things I don't want to carry inside my conversion van. I made the box in my wood shop and painted it blue.

I dig that box. Nice how it holds a good bit yet still allows rear door access. I guess you can stand on it as well, right?

Yes, as long as you keep your feet near the edges. We often use it as a seat, too.
