has anyone towed a 4x4 smb? i'm looking at getting the transformer style for the large family backup vehicle, but the wife wants an full blown rv. oh darn.
what are the potential problems towing the fords 4x4 w/ all wheels down?
i've already got a 15 pass. chevy that i'll be selling/trading in, and the wife has an '05 toyota sienna that is NOT off road capable.
It is my understanding that if you put the trans in neutral as well as both front and rear diffs in neutral, you can safely tow. I would ask Sportsmobile directly to confirm. You'll probably want to address the brakes as well.
I can imagine it will require a substantial rig to tow a SMB.

There was a post on Sportsmobile’s site that showed a guy who towed his SMB with a diesel pusher...don't know if it's still on the site...check the testimonials. I guess life is good for him.

If you are going to pull the Sportsmobile with a motorhome, why not consider buying a flatbed trailer made for hauling a vehicle. It makes driving off and on easy, saves wear on the towed vehicle, and I think would be easier to tow. oclv
