Towing Help - exhaust brake and/or dually?

One company has programmed the SCT X3 tuner for the Ford diesel to include an engine brake function. Don't know if they have the same thing for the Duramax. It operates with no additions or changes to the engine by electronically controlling the vanes in the turbo and only works when the tow/haul button is used. Since the diesel vans don't have this feature, it likely is another cool option we don't get to use....

I'm sure there are different styles/effectiveness of engine brakes. We had a little Hino bobtail with
about a 3L engine. Letting off the throttle was like hitting the brakes in my van.

I tow a 34 foot Sea vee on a triple axle trailer with disc brakes on all axles with dodge diesel with engine brake and have hit off ramps at 65 mph and not had to use the vehicle brakes until I'm rolling up to a stop sign at 10 mph. I was amazed the first time I used the brake..
