Thanks for asking!
I have one listing for 7/16(11mm) listing advertised for 4x4 recovery. The material is Samson's AmSteel-Blue. This rope specs are:
Specifications
Diameter 7/16" (11 mm)
True Diameter 0.44" - 0.46"
Breaking Strength 21,500 lb (9,800 kg)
Recommended Winch Rating 10,000 - 15,000 lb (4,540 - 6,800 kg)
Material AmSteel®-Blue Dyneema SK75 synthetic fiber
I do not test breaking strength because I don't have the resources like the big companies. I'm the DIYer who makes their own shackles and found there are also DIYers out there who need shackles but don't want to make them. It's common to DIY soft shackles for off-road. I'm like the 'word of mouth' person - 1 man shop who works with each individual's special needs/specs and doesn't care about brand names. Some people have no issues with DIYer items and some strictly stick to name brands.
Splicing rope techniques are the same for large and small diameter ropes. Even though my shop isn't particularly geared towards 4x4 off-road, the soft shackle serves the same purpose.
Like many things in the world, one item advertised in market A serves the same purpose in market B. Soft shackles serve many markets and I'm trying to work with as many as I can. Tree climbing/arborist, sailing, and camping are my current customers. I bought 7/16 to get into the off-road market.
I've made so many button knots and tapered/burried so much AmSteel-Blue that I can do this with my eyes closed. I don't take shortcuts.
