Hey All,
I have six sets of the cool OEM FORD (not aftermarket) telescoping power mirrors I came across in my pursuing of stuff!
These are very good condition USED mirrors. I have checked each of them for power function and they work smoothly. The plastic housing has been cleaned and treated with 303 Aerospace UV Protectant. There are, imho, some minor scratches/ fading and these pictures probably look a bit better than real life. E.g - note the driver side mirror pic shows some fading on the upper extension bar.
They come with the nuts and washers that secure the mirror to the door, these may not be factory as some were missing. I will include washers and nuts with each mirror.
Price per set of Driver and Passenger is $115 plus shipping. These weigh 25 lbs. I have an account with FedEx Ground, so it cost less than rack rate to ship. Residential delivery estimates are $13 nearby to $35 across the country. These are shipping from San Francisco.
I know there will be questions around what years these will fit. I have some info from first hand experience. Let me know if any other questions!
Thxs! Ray
FITMENT:
I know they were plug and play on our 2003 E350 XLT, and some here have installed them on later years with little to no mods. Sometimes two wiring pins need to be reversed (very easy to do) in the connector to determine the correct movement of the mirror when the directional switch is operated.
They are NOT plug and play on a 2002 and prior. The doors are definitely different on 2003 and up. It is easy to tell the difference by pulling the inside trim cap at the leading edge of the window covering the mounting nuts. The 2002 and prior are secured to the outer skin of the door, the 2003 has the nuts securing against the inner metal panel of the door. Can the 2002 and earlier doors be modified to accept these tow mirrors? The answer is a definite "maybe", some else who has done this can chime in. Toi me it looked like more than just drilling one more hole, or cutting one mirror stud off. At least on a 2000 van the holes on a 2000 van I looked at, it would require enlarging two existing holes and drilling two new holes. Then figuring the securing of the mirror would have to be figured out. The connector wiring would be an easy modification. I was going to put a set on our 2002 van, and may still do it, but it is more entailed than I want right now. Here are some pics of 2000 van door:
OUTSIDE SHOT 2000 van door, note the mirror stud length, it is much shorter than what is on the tow mirrors;
FROM INSIDE 2000 van door, nuts locate in the recessed holes
